JOHANNESBURG – The Gauteng Health Department has confirmed that over 70 pupils from various schools on the West Rand who were treated for food poison have been discharged from Carletonville District Hospital.

The affected pupils were at a matric camp at Fochville Secondary School.
Steve Mabona, said “The hospital confirmed that they are finalising the process of having the food samples just to do necessary tests.”
“But they also confirmed they have taken blood samples as well from learners. As soon as the results are out, they should be in a position to give us that update.”
